Rachel Ahtila

is a hunting guide who has worked in top camps throughout British Columbia, the Northwest, and Yukon Territories. Whether it has been backpack crew or leading horse expeditions, for the last decade and a half, she has got to be a part of it all. Part of her earlier career had included such accolades as videographer and rookie guide for ‘Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures’ and ‘The Professionals’ TV shows. She is a published author and columnist, conservation activist and spokeswoman for the industry. When she is not busy in the mountains or working in collaboration with industry partnerships, she has joined her partner and his family on a remote cattle ranch in Central British Columbia where she gets to combine their passions for the outdoors, agriculture and time honoured ranching traditions.
